About Health Services

The Health Aide is available during selected school hours to provide general first aid, health counseling and guidance to students. Minor health services are provided by other classified staff, in the absence of the Health Aide.

Prescribed Medications

The Azusa Unified School District requires that all students who need medication during school hours must do the following:

• Present a written statement from the student's physician detailing the method, amount, and time schedule for the taking of the medication.
• Present a written statement from the parent or guardian requesting the District to assist the student in taking the prescribed medication.
• Bring the medication to school in the original bottle, properly labeled. Students may not carry medications with them or keep it in their locker (unless requested in writing by the physician). The student should bring medication and physician's instructions to the Health Aide Office before 11 A.M.
