Principal's Message

Welcome to the 2023-24 school year! We are proud to share that this is Azusa High's 67th year of educating the Azusa community. This year marks the beginning of a new chapter in Azusa's proud history as we welcome all Azusa Unified high school students. We have confidence that our academic programs and extracurricular offerings provide the right opportunities for all Azusa students to be prepared for college and a career after high school.

As we embark on this new school year Azusa HS will prioritize connection to the campus community as well as the development of emotionally and physically safe learning environments. Now that the pandemic is behind us we all need to work together to prioritize on-time, regular attendance, staying focused in class, and being ready to learn with school-appropriate dress and a commitment to work hard and grow every day.

Azusa HS provides a robust offering of college preparatory programs including the AVID program, Advanced Placement Program, Early College Program, and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program. Beyond our college-ready programs we offer a diverse range of career pathways to prepare students for the world of work which include: Administration of Justice, Automotive, Computer Science, Digital Media Arts, Engineering, Fire Emergency Medical Tech, and Medical Academy. We have a vibrant visual arts program that includes ceramics, fine arts, art history, performing arts that include drama, orchestra, guitar, piano, choir, and marching band. We field competitive sports teams that are regularly league champs and compete in CIF competitions on a yearly basis. Lastly, we proudly partner with THINK Together to provide after-school enrichment and tutoring options for all AHS students free of charge.

We look forward to all students learning and succeeding in a welcoming environment and we are eager to write the next chapter in the great history of Azusa High School together.
