Community Schools

Our mission as a Community School is to reimagine the school and transform it into the center of our community to create better conditions for teaching and learning. Our goal is to promote stable healthy neighborhoods and leverage community resources to ensure that all students, families, educators and the community members benefit from strong connections and supports.

Our work follows a cycle of continuous improvement, listening to the community and collecting data to create and implement a plan to remove barriers to student learning. We work with parents, students, staff and the community to increase a sense of belonging and purpose, engaging learning, social emotional learning and supports for the whole child.
